The Pegasus Alumni Society is Robinson College's alumni association. It aims to promote closer relationships amongst alumni and between alumni and College.
In the early days the Pegasus Alumni Society was the only alumni association and undergraduates paid a subscription to join. In more recent times all alumni of the college have automatically become members without subscription.
The Development Office in College now arranges many things such as the Annual Reunions in September, the Annual Reception in London each July and the production of both Bin Brook Magazine and the Robinson Record.
The Pegasus Alumni Society now complements these activities by liaison with groups and individuals and suggesting and contributing to further events.
Every year in March there is the Annual Alumni 'Open' Dinner. In contrast to the September reunions, where year groups gather on a rotational basis, the March Alumni Dinner is open to any and all alumni every year. Any individual from any year, a group of friends or sports team or a subject group within or across the years – in short any alumni who are interested in getting together and meeting others are welcome and encouraged to attend. Group Tables can be reserved in advance. Before the dinner there is a talk – ‘The Pegasus Seminar’. Former speakers have included founding Warden Lord Lewis, former Senior Tutor Chris Hughes, Emeritus Professor Trevor Page, Professor Emerita Morna Hooker and Emeritus Fellow Martin Brett offering their reminiscences of College. In future years we are inviting alumni to contribute their memories and to talk about their careers.
Other events are arranged on this March weekend and we are always open to suggestion from alumni for ideas about sporting events and local visits. We are also planning a Saturday buffet lunch for the benefit of those who wish to meet up during the day rather than, or as well as, the evening dinner; the date often also coincides with Cambridge Science Festival.
Although the two weekends – September and March - remain the mainstay of the Robinson Alumni Calendar together with the Annual Reception in London, we are always open to suggestions for add-ons from alumni.
Such Alumni-organized events can be away from Cambridge, though not necessarily so, and with help for publicity from the Development Office and financial support from Pegasus Society Funds. This may range from a pub meeting in London to a gathering in Cambridge to a restaurant meal in Manchester – in fact you suggest it and run it and the Pegasus Alumni Society and Development Office will back you up - the suggestions come entirely from alumni.
If you are interested in organizing a Robinson alumni event, have any queries, suggestions, feedback or comments please let us know.

Manchester Restaurant meal SATURDAY May 6th 2017 19:45 for 20:15.
This was a good start for a 'Northern Event' with a good evening enjoyed by both local and not-so-local alumni and friends.
On 24 May event organiser Hon Sec Anthony Toole sent a message about Tony Walsh's immensely powerful poem about Manchester's defiance, grit, humour, love of 'a brew' (for any southerners, this means a cup of tea not anything alcoholic), scientific greatness, its proud musical, political and industrial history and the diversity and love in the city. Anthony wrote "Just back from delivering sandwiches to the hospital and emergency staff who have worked tirelessly over the last few days" and posted the link:
