Red Brick Cafe Bar

Open all day for light food and hot and cold beverages with a bar operation in the evenings, the Red Brick Café Bar is situated on Long Court, between the Dining Hall Balcony and the JCR. Conveniently located in the heart of the College, open if you miss breakfast, throughout the day to take in an afternoon snack or evening supper, and with large flat screen TV, daily papers, comfy sofas and a cosy environment, this is the ideal hub for friends to gather and catch up. What we offer

Our full range is availbel to eat in or take-away.

• Speciality Hot beverages - Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso, Cafe Latte, Macchiato, Italian dark hot chocolate, Italian white hot chocolate, Mocha, White Mocha, Teas - Earl Grey, Darjeeling, various herbal teas.
• Speciality Cold drinks - Café frappé, Belvoir Pressé, Ubuntu Fairtrade cola, Juice Burst drinks plus all you usual favourites.
• Late breakfast – Breakfast ciabatta, pastries, and other tasties.
• All day lite-bites - Paninis, wraps, sandwiches, soup of the day, salad bowls, cold pasta salads, sushi, and freshly cooked pasta and sauce.
• Evening suppers – Chef’s choice of dishes every Saturday and Sunday night.
• Freshly baked pizza – variety of toppings available every evening from 7.30pm.
• Desserts, cakes, confectionery - Fairtrade Divine chocolate bars, homemade cakes, muffins, freshly baked cookies, tray-bakes, flapjacks.
• Fresh fruit
• Crisps, nuts, raisins - and other dilectables
• Bar Drinks - We offer a full range of beer, real ale, lager, wine, spirits and soft drinks.
• Price promise - EVERY WEEK we will have at least 1 Lager, 1 Bitter, 1 Bottled beer/lager, 1 Alcoholic mixer & 1 Spirit on our SPECIAL PRICE PROMISE DEAL.
• Vending machines - There are also confectionery, hot drinks and cold drinks vending machines outside the RBCB.
• There are several video games machines along with a pool table and table football. A large screen is available to show sporting and other events, which will be advertised.
• During the term promotions on certain products will take place in conjunction with the RCSA Ents committee and at the discretion of the Bar Manager. These will be advertised.

As we are here to sell our range, we ask that you don’t bring food or drink from elsewhere to consume in the RBCB. However, we also know that you may, from time to time, want to celebrate a special occasion, maybe with a cake. Please let us know that you are coming so that we can be prepared to welcome you, but please bear in mind that there may be occasions when this isn’t possible and the supervisor on duty will need to make the final decision.

Paying for drinks and food in the RBCB

As well as cash, you can use your University Card to pay for food using your food purse. You can also pay for bar/alcoholic drinks, provided that you have topped-up your bar purse. Food purchases are taken off your food purse, whilst bar drinks come off your bar purse. You cannot transfer credit between purses. Glasses

Due to high losses of glassware and the mandatory licensing conditions we operate a plastic glass policy. We use high-quality, re-usable plastic glassware – please do not remove these. Please note that it is against the licensing law to take glass bottles out of the licensed premises of the College.

Cheques

Personal cheques are not accepted for payment of drinks or food alone as the amounts are too small, however they may be used for loading your card with credit. Cheques must be made payable to "Robinson College". The catering department, does not offer a cheque cashing facility.
