Robinson College Photography Competition Rules
The photography competition consists of two prizes for two different categories of entry:
Deputy Warden's Prize
Prof. Peter Kornicki has kindly offered a top prize of £100 for the best single entry. He will be the judge and will personally reward the best entry. You may enter as many times you like, by emailing JPG photographs to photos@robinson.cam.ac.uk.
Be inspired by the diversity and inclusiveness of students and student life, plus the buildings and gardens (with or without students). Look out for one of those beautiful spring or summer days which are on their way.
College Prize
A second prize of £100 will be offered on behalf of the College, judged by Drs. Guild and Warner.
This prize requires a portfolio of 5 pictures. 2 of those pictures must contain one or more people. Again, look around the College for inspiration or dig through archives of pictures from the past.
You may enter as many times you like, by emailing sets of 5 JPG photographs to photos@robinson.cam.ac.uk
Further Points for both prizes:
- Feel free to enter for both prizes as many times as you like
- Email each entry separately.
- Keep the total size of attachments to under 15Mb.
- Photos are submitted by me to the judges anonymously, to ensure fairness for the entrants.
- When photographing people, always ensure they have consented to their picture being taken.
- By submitting a picture you are agreeing that Robinson College may use the picture in any way it sees fit.
- By submitting a picture you are agreeing that everyone in the photograph has consented consented to their image being used.
- Closing date is Friday 19th June 2009
- Open to Undergraduates, Postgraduates, College Alumni, Fellows and College employees.
In the subject of the email containing your entries please include the text
"Photography Competition - College Prize"
or
"Photography Competition - Deputy Warden's Prize"
when submitting.
The lucky winners will be notified by email and the result announced on the College web page in July.
