April 2009 was a bumper month for quality approval here at Robinson College. Although conference delegates have been using the great facilities at the College for nearly 30 years, in this day and age of such wide choice, it’s reassuring for organisers to have an independent view of the quality and facilities provided by venues. You can be even more confident about the quality here now that the College has been awarded the AIM Silver Level award and the VisitBritain 4 star campus accreditation.

25th Anniversary of the first successful UK heart-lung transplant at Papworth Hospital.
On 20th April, in Robinson College’s main Auditorium, 120 people gathered to celebrate 25 years since the UK’s first successful heart-lung transplant at Papworth Hospital performed by Professor John Wallwork in April 1984.

Refurbished Bedrooms
In an ongoing project to maintain and upgrade the quality of the bedrooms at Robinson College, 60 rooms were redecorated this summer during the College's annual 2 week shutdown. This completes the final cycle of the current refurbishment program, which has seen each of the 270 bedrooms receive a face lift.

AIM Accreditation Awarded to Robinson College

Auditorium Refurbishment
Robinson college is very proud of its magnificent Auditorium which has served many a successful conference event and indeed been the home for the College student's theatrical society - Brickhouse. Over its 25 year life, the fixtures and fittings have served well. However, in 2006, College Council agreed to a complete make-over to see a modernisation of the technical equipment as well as a complete refurbishment...
