Whether you are a conference delegate or event organiser, the Red Brick Café at Robinson College provides a quiet space to catch up with emails or enjoy a cup or coffee or a drink. Bar Manager Simon Murden explains what is on offer and how it enhances the College’s other conference facilities.

There’s no doubt that our conference visitors appreciate the Red Brick Café when they are attending an event or staying at Robinson College. Open during conference hours, we serve a wide range of hot drinks including teas and coffees, as well as a full bar and a menu of light dishes and snacks.

The Café is run by a highly trained and experienced team who enjoy going to the extra mile to improve the guest experience. Between seven team members, we cover all required opening hours, depending on conference timings.

Often we open for the day at 8.00am so that people can start their day by reading the papers or enjoying a quiet coffee before the conference sessions start. And when required, we stay open late for delegates to enjoy the chance to relax over a drink at the end of the evening.

Not only do we offer a wide range of hot and cold drinks, but snacks too and we are always trying fresh ideas such as sushi, flavoured coffees and fruit frappes in Summer. Homemade paninis are always a popular choice!

We offer free wi-fi (up to 300bmps) so it’s a good place for people to catch up on emails during the conference period as well as take the opportunity to continue discussions with other delegates outside the official sessions.

Above all, we want to deliver an experience that delegates will remember which differentiates us from other conference venues. Our greatest asset is our team who work really hard and from feedback we have received over the years, they succeed in making this happen.
