Robinson College, Cambridge, has experienced an eventful year, following a string of recent industry accolades and the construction of the new Crausaz Wordsworth Building.

The £5 million Crausaz Wordsworth Building, opened by the university’s chancellor Lord Sainsbury, will build on the current, market-leading facilities and further exemplify the capabilities of the college’s conferencing and events offering. In addition to this the sustainable new structure will provide a state-of-the-art teaching and learning space for Robinson College’s student population.

This year also saw the return of the award winning clic+ boutique conference and trade show, exploring industry best practice and corporate sustainability. The day built on the strong foundations of the first event and offered delegates a full programme of inspirational and dynamic content. Highlights included keynote speeches from renowned EA Victoria Darragh (Hays PLC) and PutneyRed’s Linda Moir, along with a series of interactive workshops delivered by industry experts: Media House, Speakers Corner, Live Group, Inspired and Green Moon Events.

Nick Milne, conference and catering manager at Robinson College, said “2015 has been a very exciting year, not least for the opening of the brand new Crausaz Wordsworth Building, a welcome addition to the Cambridge conferencing landscape. In addition to this we have been proud to have received a number of industry awards and accreditations, most significantly the coveted aim Gold.  The awards received reinforce our perception that we are delivering the very best service to our clients ensuring they achieve maximum ROI. We look forward to growing on this success in 2016”

Robinson College and its staff experienced a fruitful award season recognising their hard work in 2014, winning the: C&IT Award for ‘Best use of Budget’ (For clic+), M&IT Bronze award for ‘Best Academic Venue’ and aim Gold accreditation from mia. Alongside this, commis chef Kevin Beckett, was listed on the mialist as ‘Most Inspirational Individual’
