Robinson College, Cambridge, has reported an 11% revenue growth for meetings and events in the first half of 2015/16 over the same period in the previous financial year.
The positive results reflect a year-on-year increase in enquiries for event space at Robinson College.
The growth has been registered at the culmination of extensive improvement and renovation at Robinson College, in particular the building of the Crausaz Wordsworth Building. The new space, opened in September 2015, has already proved popular, having already hosted 35 events (out of 49 available dates).
Other initiatives, such as the long-running Service+ programme, and its development and evolution can also be attributed to the sizeable increase.
Commenting on the results, conference and catering manager Nick Milne said: “This highly positive figure gives great indication for a healthy year of hospitality at Robinson College. In particular it demonstrates the dividends achieved by the decision we made a couple of years ago to innovate through new event spaces and business approaches. It also emphasises the amazing work of our dedicated meetings and events team, who embody our approach to adding value and going the extra mile, further highlighted by the achievement of the AIM Gold accreditation in 2015.
“With half the business year left, we certainly won’t be resting on our laurels; with a full schedule of meetings and events it promises to be a busy spring/summer. We are also building on the legacy we have built with the award-winning clic+ and have some exciting news to announce at next week’s International Confex 2016, where we will be exhibiting. We look forward to further growth in 2016 and will continue to deliver exceptional client experiences, according to our commitments to Service+.”
Robinson College will be exhibiting at International Confex 2016 on 2nd March at Stand G81, for more information click here.
