Thursday, March 1: First Thursday Drinks
Come imbibe with us in the Willard Hotel, one of America's most historic establishments. The Drinks is an elegant, but low-key event where you can enjoy a great mix of alumni of all ages, degree programs, and life experiences, with lots to discuss in a friendly and easygoing environment. Catch up with old friends and make new ones! Drinks start at 6:30 PM, but people trickle in throughout the evening.
Monday, March 12: LSE Book Event and Lecture
Our friends at LSE are hosting Steven Payson to discuss his new book How Economics Professors Can Stop Failing Us: The Discipline at a Crossroads. A Q & A and networking reception with complementary drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. A similar event is scheduled for April 9th, stay tuned in next month's newsletter for additional details.
Thursday, March 22: Judge Business School Drinks and Networking Event
Please join representatives from the Cambridge Judge Business School for drinks and networking from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 22. Simon Taylor, Director of the Master of Finance Programme and Senior Faculty in Management Practice; Donnell Roy, Director of External Engagement; and Mary Priddey, Head of Alumni Relations, will be visiting for the event. Saturday, March 24: The Boat Race Viewing
Cambridge and Oxford rowers will go head to head on the Thames for the 164th Boat Race. Come join your fellow Cantabrigians at 12:00 PM to cheer on the Light Blues as we watch a live telecast of the event. The first race is scheduled begin at 12:31 PM. We have reserved The Callan Room at James Hoban's Irish Restaurant (1 Dupont Cir NW, Washington, DC 20036) from 12:00 PM. We hope you can join us for all of the races!
Friday, May 11th: Cambridge and Oxford Dinner - Save the Date
The Cambridge and Oxford societies are planning a joint dinner in May. Further details will be published on the society website soon.
