Robinson is ideally located for Badminton enthusiasts: on one side there is the stylish new University Sports Centre, home to the blues team, and on the other (just over the road in fact), there are a couple of courts used by Robinson College players.

Robinson College student Helen Briggs plays for the University Ladies Blues and is Captain of the University Mixed Blues.

Cambridge University Badminton Club is a place for players to take their game to a higher level. With teams playing in both the local Cambridge league and the national BUCS league, there is plenty of opportunity for players to test themselves. Currently the squad trains three times a week at the University Sports Centre, building physical, technical and tactical abilities towards the big events of the season. In the latter half of Lent term teams will be selected for the Varsity match against Oxford, and the BUCS individuals, both of which are great chances to play on a big stage. Most recently, the club took part in a joint trip with Oxford to Japan where we not only played badminton with the professional teams and universities, but also spoke to many students aspiring to study in the UK.
