The University has signed up to the Care Leaver Covenant, which commits to the provision of support and opportunities for young people leaving the care system, and the Stand Alone Pledge, demonstrating our commitment to estranged or independent living young adults wishing to pursue Higher Education.

Supporting Forced Migrant and Refugee Students

STAR - Student Action for Refugees - has a number of webinar series about applying for university, scholarships and Student Finance. You may also wish to visit their Access to University guide to explore more about the options available to you. 

The Displaced Student Opportunities website advertises a number of scholarship opportunities aimed at displaced students. 

The Cambridge Refugee Hub supports and provides solidarity with refugees. You may wish to look at their guide to applying to Cambridge here

The Cambridge Refugee Scholarship Campaign has information about financial support for refugees at Cambridge University.

If your education has been significantly disrupted by your experience as a refugee or forced migrant, you may be eligible for the University's Foundation Year programme for the Arts and Social Sciences. For more information on applying for the programme as a refugee or forced migrant, click here
