We’re delighted to welcome back the Alineas, a multi-award-winning young string quartet making their 3rd tour to the UK. They will play Brahms’ beautiful Quartet in A minor, then visit the ‘roaring twenties’ with the jazz-inflected Five pieces by enfant terrible Erwin Schulhoff, and finally the first string quartet by Dr Jeremy Thurlow, inspired by these beautiful lines by John Kinsella: The growth of ancient stone at twilight / is sensed by one whose sight / is honed by the pulse of the river, / math of bridges, microcosm of pasture.
Tickets available from Eventbrite: https://tinyurl.com/AlineaCambridge or on the door from 7.15 pm
