Guest Rooms

Robinson has a limited number of guest rooms available for booking by Members via the Porters' Lodge on 01223 339100 or email on if you wish. The present cost (room only) is £67.74 per night for single occupancy and £107.34 per night for twin occupancy. Rooms may be booked for a maximum of 3 nights per stay and are allocated on a first-to-book basis. These prices are reviewed each year in October, so the charges may change then.

If you wish to stay for more than 3 nights, special permission must be requested from the Bursar via the Development Office 01223 339036. Permission will be granted if there is suitable accommodation available for the period and at the prevailing prices. Generally, this is likely to only be during vacation periods if there is surplus conference accommodation available, but it may be very occasionally available during term-time.


Former students who have taken an MA or higher degree (after completion of 10 terms from matriculation) are entitled to dine at Formal Hall up to three times per academic year. Formal Halls take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings during term-time. Bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Popular Halls (such as Christmas Hall) book up well in advance.

Members may choose to dine at High Table and those doing so will be charged for the wine served with the meal and may use the SCR sitting room before and after dinner. Members who choose to dine in the main body of the Hall may purchase wine from the College Bar in advance to bring to their table. Guests may be invited and must also be booked in advance. Members will be charged the prevailing Formal Hall guest rate for each guest and are limited to 3 guests per Hall, unless special permission is sought in advance. Special permission to book a larger party will be granted subject to availability and cannot be granted at short notice, so please submit such requests as early as possible.
