THE LIBRARY IS OPEN - please note the following changes:

  • we now ask that face coverings are worn at all times in the library

  • all enquiries to the librarian should be made via email

  • we need to close the library for one hour between 9:00 and 10:00 Monday to Friday (printing can be done in the Computer Room, Teaching Room 1).

Any further changes to the service will be posted here.

The library is open for self-service of books. We are also open for study 24/7 (apart from the hour between 09:00-10:00) and have had to reduce study spaces.  If there are no chairs available please come back later. You may find the library a little colder than usual, as we will have to open windows to achieve good ventilation. Please use hand sanitiser before entering, wear a face covering and keep socially distanced at all times. We will continue to offer a zero contact book request service for any college members who need it. In which case please email details of books required to . We will process your request as quickly as we can.

More information available here for students who are isolating.

We can no longer accept book returns for other Cambridge libraries. You can keep up to date with the latest information about the reopening of Cambridge Libraries here. Further information about the UL zero contact services - Click & Collect and Scan & Deliver - here.

Welcome to Robinson College Library.

We are situated on Front Court and are open to all members of the College and its staff.

Only members of Robinson College have 24 hour access and borrowing rights.  Visitors who have a specific need, or guests, may apply by email to the Librarian requesting access. Guests must be accompanied by their host whilst they are in the library.  Non-Robinson members do not have borrowing rights, and unfortunately during busy periods, such as Easter Term, it may be necessary for library staff to decline a request to use the library.

The Library Guide for current members of Robinson College can be downloaded here.
