Thanks to the generosity of Senior Member Weslie Janeway, and in recognition of the lifelong friendship that she formed with Dr Teresa Tiffert at Robinson, we are delighted to announce the endowment of the Dr Teresa Tiffert Research Innovation Awards.

 

Robinson will host a launch reception in celebration of the career and achievements of Dr Teresa Tiffert at The Royal Institution of Great Britain on Monday 14 October 2024, from 6.30pm.

Dr Teresa Tiffert

Dr Teresa Tiffert is a University Senior Lecturer and Fellow Emerita and Graduate Tutor at Robinson, whose current research interest is focussed on the blood stages of falciparum Malaria, specifically an elusive pre-invasion stage of the process of infection. This work is being undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, the Cavendish Laboratory, and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. During her illustrious career she has been elected a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Latin America, as well as receiving Cambridge’s Pilkington Teaching Award. We are delighted to be able to celebrate her in this way at this prestigious venue.
