Our Panellists
- Charles Prideaux
Charles is Group Head of Strategy and Solutions at Schroders. He is responsible for the Global Solutions business, corporate development, and relationships with key partners. He is also Chief Executive of Schroders Investment Management.
Previously he was Global Head of Investment which was responsible for the management, oversight and development of the investment platform, including the ESG team and Data Insights Unit. Prior roles also include leading the Product and Solutions division.
Prior to joining Schroders in 2017, Charles was at BlackRock from 1988 to 2017, where his roles included serving as Global COO for Fundamental Equities, Head of the EMEA Institutional Client Business, and latterly as Head of the European Active investment platform. Charles studied English Literature at Cambridge University.
- Robert Lancastle
Robert is a Senior Fund Manager (Global Opportunities Fund) at JOCHM Global Opportunities Strategy (which launched in Q2 2012) and the JOHCM International Opportunities Strategy (which launched in Q3 2016), of ~$5bn AUM. Prior to joining JOHCM, Robert worked for Orbis Investment Advisory as an Equity Analyst for the Orbis Global Equity Strategy, focused on the retail, media, technology, oil & gas and insurance sectors. Previously, Robert worked as a Maths and Physics Teacher at Wellington College. Robert holds a BEng and MEng from Cambridge University and is a CFA Charterholder.
- Elena Vydrine
Elena’s career has been built around Asset Management ecosystem, where most recently she held a role of Head of ESG and Climate Index for Asset and Wealth Managers at MSCI, a global provider of data and indexes. Elena is a fund management professional with 15+ years of industry experience and a track record of managing $4bn+ ETF and indexed portfolios at HSBC and Blackrock. She holds an MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School and an MSt in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University (2019).
Elena has a special interest in embedding sustainability principles and metrics into the core of the investment process, climate investing, product development and go-to-market strategy. She currently works as an independent ESG Strategist consulting asset managers and fin-techs on ESG and Climate investing and Indexation.
- Andrew Blair, FCSI
Andrew is Director of Business Development for the firm’s international Private Client and Charity team. He has over 25 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 2021, Andrew was a Director at Rothschild & Co where he worked for six years in the charities and asset management teams. Previous to his experience at Rothschild & Co, Andrew worked as both Sales and Marketing Director at Mirabaud Asset Management and Sales Director for Skandia U.K..
Andrew is also a Pensioner Trustee to the United Bible Societies Defined Benefit Pension Scheme and an Ambassador to the Soldiers Charity, Army Benevolent Fund.
Andrew read Theology at Robinson from 1990 to 1994.
- Tim Steele
Tim is a Partner at NLC Capital Partners, which is an independent, non-bank fund finance lender, exclusively focused on providing fund finance loans to the private capital market. Prior to NLC, Tim was Managing Director and Head of the Structured Alternatives and non-US Residential Investments team at AIG. During his 15yrs+ at AIG he performed a variety of portfolio management, structuring and investment roles across a range of predominately structured finance asset classes in both funded and synthetic form.
Tim began his career in the audit profession where he trained as a chartered accountant (ICAEW); he is a CFA Charterholder and studied Natural and Computer Sciences at Robinson from 1999 to 2003.
