Robinson College announces landmark production of Follies in October 2026
Robinson College’s resident theatre company, Brickhouse Theatre Company, is delighted to announce its first major indoor production in three years. The Tony and Olivier-winning musical Follies, by James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim, will come to Robinson in October 2026, with tickets going on sale later in the year.
Featuring classic Sondheim tunes, a large cast of brilliant characters and a full orchestra, this epic production will transform our Auditorium into the ‘Brickhouse Theatre,’ in a landmark moment for the college’s theatre scene. Directed by current first year Robinson student Dhyan Ruparel, the production will engage the entire college community, as well as drawing from theatrical talent across the university.
Established in 1998, Brickhouse Theatre Company has long been at the heart of Robinson’s extra-curricular life, performing both in the Auditorium and outdoor Maria Bjornson Theatre. This production revives the company, which has a long history of presenting musicals, plays and comedy.
Applications for the student creative team are now open; those interested can view the advertisement on Camdram or follow the show’s Instagram page (@folliescambridge). Auditions will open in early Easter Term, alongside wider production and technical roles. Tickets will go on sale later in the year - watch this space for updates…
