Memorial Service for Dr Peter Newman Brooks will be held on Tuesday, 10th November 2026 in the Robinson College Chapel at 6:30 p.m. 

Peter Newman Brooks, M.A., PhD, Life Fellow and formerly Tutor and Admissions Tutor, Fellows’ Steward and Director of Studies in Theology and Religious Studies of Robinson College, former Fellow of Downing College, member of Trinity College and of Peterhouse, sometime University Lecturer in the Faculty of Divinity and onetime Proctor (Junior), died on 20 February 2025, aged 94 years. Dr Brooks joined the Robinson College Fellowship in 1982, and during his time in College he held the roles of Director of Studies in Theology and Religious Studies, Tutor, Fellows’ Steward and Admissions Tutor.

This memorial service will include a tribute from Dr Brook’s former student Reverend Dr John Ashley Null, Bishop of the Diocese of North Africa in the Province of Alexandria.

This memorial service will be a part of the Choral Evensong Service that is held every Tuesday during term time.
