Dr Chris Warner has been appointed a Deputy Senior Tutor

Dr Chris Warner has been appointed a Deputy Senior Tutor from October 2024, succeeding Dr Paul Griffiths, and working alongside Dr Brian McCabe in that role.
Dr Warner says: “I am delighted to be starting a new role as Deputy Senior Tutor. I joined Robinson in 2001 and, over the years, have served the College in roles.
It is particularly pleasing to be returning to admissions once again, this time with responsibility for postgraduate admissions scholarships and awards. I am also pleased to be continuing as a Director of Studies in Mathematics and as an undergraduate College Tutor.
I now have over twenty years of experience of working with late teenagers and young adults to help them to make good higher education choices and to thrive at University once they arrive. I run workshops and have developed course materials to support our potential mathematics students as they prepare for the STEP mathematics examinations in their final year at school. I am passionate about education, in particular the teaching of applied mathematics and the use of computers to solve mathematics problems. At Robinson College I teach first and second year students applied mathematics and in the Mathematics Department I have focused on computer-aided teaching of applied mathematics including being Director of a computational project course for many years. I believe that the Deputy Senior Tutor role will be the perfect opportunity to build on this work and to contribute to education at Robinson.”
