Robinson College Library has taken in a new collection of books over the summer. The Peter Blundell Jones Collection contains 350+ donated titles on modern European architecture and came to us in 10 large boxes on a rainy morning in March. It is an outstanding resource for students and researchers alike, with many of the titles unique within Cambridge. Amongst the collection are the books that Peter wrote during his career as an Architect and Architectural Historian.
Our Library and Archive Manager, Judith A. Brown, has painstakingly completed the processing and cataloguing of the collection. This was timely for a College visit by our donor and author, Chrissie Poulson, who donated the titles from her late husbands’ personal library. She was delighted and moved, to see the books on the shelves of our library and wrote about it briefly on her website here. Thanks to John Sergeant for initiating this wonderful donation.
