The Spanish Realist novel, gossip and other informal networks of power, 1890s caricature, narratology, gender and sexuality, translation theory and practice, and Lorca.

Teaching Interests
I teach Sp1, the first-year scheduled paper. I also teach and lecture on the Modern Iberian History and Culture Papers for Part IB, SP4 (Modern Spanish History and Culture), and for Part II, SP9 (Spanish Literature, Thought, and History, after 1820) and SP10 (Modern Catalan Literature and Culture).
