Student wellbeing and welfare: a Robinson priority

Supporting Robinson students, their wellbeing and welfare throughout their time in Cambridge and at Robinson are at the core of the College’s ethos. Our students receive pastoral care through the Tutorial system and Porters, our Chaplain, the College Nurse, and the College-based Counsellor. Building on this work, the College is now appointing a Head of Student Wellbeing and Welfare, a post that will take forward our ambition to ‘be there’ for our students and ensure they can fulfil their potential as scholars and as individuals, making the most of every opportunity a Cambridge education offers. You can read more about the post here.

Access and Outreach met the challenges -A year in review

Dr Scott Annett, the Admissions Tutor for Science and Director of Studies in English (pictured centre left with Dr Elizabeth Rawlinson-Mills and Dr Emily Price of Robinson's Admissions team) talks about how the Admissions Team has successfully navigated the challenges faced this year, improving access and outreach provision. A blended approach of virtual and ‘in person’ programme of events has been in place during the past 18 months, as well as assisting the College’s widening participation and outreach activities. Robinson College Law Society were very pleased to host their first in-person Law Careers Evening since the pandemic started, last Monday 22 November. Over 50 students interested in a legal career attended the networking event from Colleges across Cambridge. With Robinson alumni representing several law firms on hand to answer their questions and update them on technological advances in the legal field during the panel discussion, it was a very informative and enjoyable evening. Live theatre is back at Robinson

In November Cambridge theatre lovers rejoiced to see live performances returning to Robinson College Auditorium. The Brickhouse Theatre Company presented two musicals Antigone and Dogfight. Both productions ran for just four days. Once again, the Company has proven that Robinson is where live theatre thrives in Cambridge. We cannot wait to see the new Brickhouse productions in 2022! You can read more about the Brickhouse and its latest productions here.
