Congratulations to Dame Pippa Harris

January 9, 2026

Congratulations to Robinson alumna Dame Pippa Harris (English, 1986), producer of the acclaimed film adaptation of Hamnet, which has received six Golden Globe nominations. The nominations include Best Motion Picture – Drama (Pippa and Production Team), Best Actress (Jessie Buckley), Best Supporting Actor (Paul Mescal), Best Director (Chloé Zhao), Best Screenplay (Chloé Zhao & Maggie O’Farrell), and Best Original Score (Max Richter).

Hamnet, based on the international best-selling novel by Maggie O’Farrell— is produced by Neal Street Productions, the company that Pippa co-founded in 2003 with director Sam Mendes and producer Caro Newling. She now runs Neal Street’s Film and Television division alongside Nicolas Brown. Since its founding, Neal Street Productions has earned an exceptional reputation for bold, high-quality work across film, television and theatre.

Pippa’s distinguished career includes producing Starter for Ten and Stuart: A Life Backwards, co-producing Jarhead, Away We Go and the Oscar-nominated Revolutionary Road, and producing the First World War epic 1917. 1917 won more than 100 awards worldwide, including two Golden Globes, three Oscars and seven BAFTAs.

Widely praised for its emotional depth, visual beauty and sensitive portrayal of grief, Hamnet explores the devastating loss experienced by William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes following the death of their son. With its strong showing at the Golden Globes, the film is already one of this year’s most talked-about cinematic achievements and is widely tipped for further recognition during awards season, including potential Oscar and BAFTA nominations.

We wish Pippa, the team at Neal Street Productions, and all the cast and crew, every success at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday 11 January 2026.
