Robinson PhD student finalist in Technical Innovation

Congratulations to Xiang Li, a Robinson College PhD student at the Department of Engineering. We're pleased to share that Xiang has been selected as one of the two finalists in the Technical Innovation category at the UKRI Innovate UK Immersive Tech Awards 2025 (https://iuk.immersivetechnetwork.org/awards/). This is a national award recognising outstanding emerging student researchers and engineers in immersive technology across the UK. The final winner announcement will be released on 2 June 2025.
This recognition highlights one of Xiang's ongoing PhD research projects in the Department of Engineering, supervised by Professor Per Ola Kristensson, which explores the potential of using microgestures for text editing tasks in virtual and mixed reality environments.
