Senior Member secures UK Government grant for innovative trial
College Senior Member, Dr Christopher de Saxe, has secured a grant for GoMetro from the UK government’s Freight Innovation Fund, as part of their Accelerator Programme. The grant is part of a £1.8 million funding round for 10 small and medium enterprises to trial new technology for decarbonising freight and driving innovation in the sector, and will support GoMetro in a six-month trial. Christopher joined GoMetro in July 2024, having previously been a Senior Research Associate in the Cambridge University Engineering Department and a Fellow in Engineering at Robinson College. GoMetro is a fleet management technology company with offices in London and Cape Town which last year completed a £9m Series A funding round led by Zenobē Energy
