Therapy Boxing at Robinson College

🥊Therapy Boxing at Robinson College 🥊

Chaplain, Simon Perry, has been running therapy boxing classes at Robinson for over 10 years, and it has grown to be one of the most popular sports at College.  Crucially, the aim is about having fun first, aided by dreadful 80’s music!  Simon “It’s primarily for people who don’t like sports, who don’t like exercise but want to use their bodies.  It’s not boxing in a full contact sense, but we do box properly”. The feedback from our students has been fantastic and they have benefitted in many different ways, Student Izzy McCrae “It helps you distract yourself from the stresses of being at Cambridge”. “It’s good exercise and it’s just fun”, Jessica Cronin.

Coach Joel Nesbit welcomes everyone of all abilities to come along, “Nobody is taking themselves too seriously, it’s supposed to be fun.”

If you would like to try a class over the holidays or next term, head to the Robinson Therapy Boxing Facebook page to find out more:
