Cultural representations of crime and criminal justice; documentary, popular, and silent film in Latin America; the relationship between law and the humanities; popular culture in the Southern Cone; cultural and critical theories of modernity, space, emotion, and affect.
Teaching Interests
Lectures, seminars, and supervisions for undergraduate papers on Latin American culture (SP5, SP13), Iberoamerican cinema (IL1), first-year Introduction to the Language, Literatures and Cultures of the Spanish-Speaking World (SP1) and Year Abroad/Optional Dissertations on a variety of topics relating to Latin America and film. Spanish-to-English translation classes and supervisions for first years (SPB2) and fourth years (SPC1). Teaching for MPhil course in Latin American Studies.
