Congratulations to Dr Ondrej Krivanek, Honorary Fellow of Robinson College, who has been awarded the 2020 Kavli Prize for Nanoscience, "for sub-ångström resolution imaging and chemical analysis using electron beams.". Dr Krivanek is one of four recipients who are honoured for significantly increasing the resolution of electron microscopes and for their work on correcting the third order aberrations, a key problem in the electron microscopy. You can read more here about Dr Krivanek, the Kirkland microscope wizard, and his fascinating work on making invisible visible.
