The Robinson College Telephone Campaign 2025 will take place between Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 17th December.
During this time, a group of current students will be contacting Robinson alumni and friends to reconnect, network, share updates, hear stories and raise funds. They're all looking forward to chatting with you!
This year, our fundraising efforts will focus on the Student Support Fund, ensuring financial assistance is available to students in need. A contribution to this, or any of our fundraising priorities, will be gratefully received and play a pivotal role in supporting current and future Robinson students.

I’m a second-year Economist. I’m the organ scholar in the choir, vice-captain of Robinson College Football Club, part of the RCMS committee, but most importantly, the proud captain of the college’s famous choir football team.
I applied to the campaign because I love talking to alumni about their experiences at Robinson - whether that be from the sporting or musical side of the college, or anything in between! Robinson has always had such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere, and I hope our work calling alumni will help to build on that reputation.
My favourite thing about Robinson is the food here – in the garden restaurant, formals or the RBCB (one of my favourite places in the college). It’s also quite convenient being a two-minute cycle from the Sidgwick site!
Jack
I'm a second-year Social Anthropology and Theology student here at Robinson and captain of the Robinson College football club.
My favourite part of Robinson is definitely all the amazing sports you can get involved with! I’m doing the Telephone Campaign to connect and learn from our amazing alumni and to raise support for the college to fund all our incredible athletes.
Jude
I’m a fourth-year Natural Sciences student. I’m super excited to be part of the Telephone Campaign this year and hear about everyone’s experiences after graduating! I’m part of the Robinson College First XI Football Team, as well as the Co-President of Robinson College Jewish Society.
I applied for the Telephone Campaign because I want to help raise money for the Robinson Community, a community which has given me so much, from academic support to funding my extracurricular activities. I’m also really interested in the world of start-ups and entrepreneurship.
The thing I love most about Robinson is its community. It’s arguably one of the most unpretentious colleges, where you can walk through and start a conversation with anyone. I’m looking forward to getting started!

I'm a second-year Medicine student here at Robinson! I sing in the Chapel Choir, and I love the environment and experiences it provides.
My favourite things about Robinson are, firstly, the gardens – I stand by us having the best gardens in Cambridge. Secondly, the people, who make college life so fun. By taking part in this year's telephone campaign, I hope to learn more about past students' experiences, and I'm looking forward to supporting Robinson and its atmosphere.

I am a first-year Medicine student. My favourite hobbies are mainly active, including playing tennis and basketball and going to the gym.
The reason why I applied to this role was that I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, whilst also doing something that will benefit the wider Robinson community and help to provide opportunities for students for years to come.
The thing I love about Robinson is the down-to-earth and calm environment, it is far from the centre and feels a lot more relaxed than other colleges. Also, you feel like everyone is very tight-knit and you can easily get to know others.

I’m a first-year Design student. I am really looking forward to the Telephone Campaign because I see so much value in supporting the relationship that Robinson has with the alumni as it is of such a mutual benefit to both. I also find it very inspiring to discover the paths people have taken after studying at Cambridge University and I will be fascinated to have the opportunity to engage with the Robinson alumni.
I can't wait to learn so much more about the college and to properly embed myself into the Robinson community. I love the caring and friendly feel of Robinson and really appreciate the delicious food in the garden restaurant. Listening to the choir rehearse while studying, wandering the gardens and the Robinson architecture are my highlights of the college so far.
Sophia
I am a second-year History student. I am looking forward to being part of the Telephone Campaign this year because I enjoy hearing about alumni experiences while simultaneously helping to raise donations for current and prospective students.
My time at Robinson thus far has consisted of active participation in Robinson College Boat Club, of which I am now Women’s Captain, so I fully understand the importance of donations sustaining college sport. I have also benefited from the college’s wellbeing activities, especially the Monday evening yoga sessions!
My favourite aspect of Robinson is its welcoming, close-knit community. It is a spirit I will bring to my conversations with alumni, helping to ensure that even beyond the bricks, Binsonians remain connected through a shared sense of belonging.
Zhilin
I am a fourth-year student studying Systems Biology, and I feel truly grateful to be part of the warm and open community at Robinson College. I especially enjoy spending time in the College’s beautiful gardens, which never fail to lift my spirits, and I love the Robinson Chapel for its welcoming atmosphere and wonderful musical performances.
By joining the Telephone Campaign, I hope to help strengthen the College’s support for student well-being and academic development, ensuring that future generations of Robinson students can enjoy the same enriching experiences that I have had.
