We are delighted to invite Robinson alumni to the launch of Robinson’s alumni entrepreneurs network. The event features two of Robinson’s leading alumni entrepreneurs, Demetrios Zoppos (Economics, 1990), co-founder of Onefinestay and current Executive Chairman of Klevio, and Chris Morton (Physical Natural Sciences, 2000), co-founder of Lyst, the leading fashion app in the US and Europe. The event will be the first in a series hosted in Cambridge and London, creating a space to showcase the Robinson tradition of innovation that began with our Founder.

Speaker biographies:

Chris Morton (Physical Natural Sciences, 2000)
Chris Morton is the founder of Lyst, one the world’s leading fashion platforms, used by 200 million people globally each year. Launched in London in 2010, Lyst has raised over $160m from leading investors including Accel, Fidelity International, and LVMH. Chris was also a board member of Depop, the Gen-Z pre-owned shopping app, from its Series B fundraise until the company’s sale to Etsy Inc for $1.65bn in June 2021. Chris is an active advisor to a range of startups in industries ranging from Cleantech and Quantum Computing to Artificial Intelligence. Prior to founding Lyst, Chris was a venture investor at Benchmark Capital and Balderton Capital in London, focusing on early-stage consumer internet companies. He holds an MA in Natural Sciences (Physics and Philosophy of Science) from Cambridge University.

Demetrios Zoppos (Economic, 1990)
Cypriot-born Demetrios Zoppos has been an entrepreneur and investor in the start-up sector for 25 years, with a long-term focus on the use of technology. The startups he has worked with during his career, mostly in their early stages, have raised over $130 million in investment capital from private, institutional and strategic investors. In recent years, he has personally invested in more than 20 startups, such as Plum and Stagedoor, as well as in the investment funds of Greek companies that promote technology, such as Marathon Ventures. Demetrios is also the co-founder of the luxury home rental brand onefinestay, which was acquired by the Accor Group, the aviation trading platform GF-X, which is now owned by the Descartes Group, and Klevio, which operates in the digital access sector. He is currently setting up 33East, an investment fund for Cyprus, with the aim of financing start-ups and contributing to wider economic development. He studied economics at Robinson College, Cambridge and public administration at the Harvard Kennedy School.
