The next MCR/SCR Research Day will be held on Saturday 1 February in the Crausaz Wordsworth Building. Refreshments from 9.30 am, talks from 10.00 am, and a light lunch for those who wish to stay for it.
There will be a series of talks from our postgraduate students and two talks from the SCR, Prof Alberto Rosello-Diez (Title: 'Going out on a limb to study the genetic mechanisms controlling organ growth and repair'), and Dr Yudan Ren and her clinical colleague will about their clinical work as Virologists and Yudan's study on how viruses cause birth defects in babies.
The Research Days provide a great way of learning about and discussing the wide range of research interests in College. They also provide our students with the opportunity to give presentations to a general audience, which they don’t necessarily get in their departments. We offer student speakers a coaching session beforehand for those who want it. Whatever your interests, you are most welcome at the Research Day. It is organised mainly by the MCR.
If you have any special dietary requirements, please contact Dr Brian McCabe (bjm1@cam.ac.uk) by next Tuesday, 21st January.
