Dr Stuart Hogarth and his research team from the Department of Sociology at the University of Cambridge have collated what they believe is the most comprehensive dataset of the world companies developing diagnostic tests for COVID-19. Different countries have adopted different testing strategies with regard to developing commercial COVID-19 tests. Consequently some countries like South Korea and Germany seem to be at the forefront of the global testing market offering a great number of diagnostic tests, whereas countries like the USA and the UK are lagging behind.
