Welcome to our new Outreach and Widening Participation Officer Karolina (Kaz) Rawdanowicz
A recent Robinson graduate herself, Kaz brings a fantastic mix of student knowledge and understanding combined with a wealth of experience working in various aspects of University outreach and events.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Admissions Team as Outreach and Widening Participation Officer, working with schools in the UK to encourage and assist students in applying to Cambridge … but particularly Robinson! I first joined Robinson back in 2021 as a fresher, coming from Birmingham to start my undergrad, slightly terrified by the idea of ‘Cambridge’. I was the first person from my school to be offered a place, and had only ever heard myths and speculations about it (not all of which were untrue, of course!) In my first year, I was the RCSA Class Act Officer and worked closely with the Admissions Team to launch our Pegasus Scholars programme for students like myself, who had experienced disruption in their education and/or little support on their journey. Since then, I’ve actively engaged in the life of the college, as well as connecting with alumni, and more recently, graduated with a First Class degree in English. This would not have been possible without the amazing support in college, so I’m keen to continue and extend this support to our potential applicants, working closely with our staff and students to show Robinson as the interesting and welcoming place that it is”.
