A group of Robinson students will be treading the boards at the Camden People's Theatre this week (July 31st - August 3rd) as part of the Camden Fringe. INVASION! An Alien Musical follows Johnny Fox, who is chasing the job of his dreams at Lotus Land, Britain's most magical theme park. But when his childhood toy comes to life, Johnny discovers the park hides a sinister secret... it's run by alien invaders!

The show has had significant involvement from Robinson students, with Jamie Ellis (Music, 2021) playing the leading role of Johnny Fox, Niamh Howat (History, 2021) having created the puppets being used in the show, and Charlotte Dargan (Geography, 2020) producing the production.

Having worked on other shows together over the past two years, in particular the CUADC/Footlights Pantomime, and knowing each other through college, the cast are thrilled to embark on this new project together, and represent Robinson for INVASION!'s debut at the Camden Fringe.

The 2023 Camden Fringe is the biggest event yet with over 300 confirmed shows, featuring the weird and the wonderful in some of the best small venues in North London. It is a great opportunity to get out and try something completely different...

The group have all benefitted from help from the Friends of College fund that was set up to provide assistance to Robinson students and recent graduates, and are hugely grateful for the the alumni's generosity.

INVASION! An Alien Musical will be running at the Camden People's Theatre from Monday 31st July through to Thursday 3rd August.
