Pegasus Boat Club

History

The Robinson Old Blades' Society was established in 1998 by the 1997/98 Boat Club committee. An inaugural dinner was held in June 1998, combined with the Club's May Bumps dinner. The initial membership has grown from 8 to nearly 50, and is expanding rapidly as RCBC members graduate and older members re-establish contact.

In 2015, The Old Blades raced the Fairbairn cup for the first time, embarrassingly (for the students!) beating the then current men's first boat!

In 2016 the Society was relaunched as the Pegasus Boat Club with a reformed committee. The Pegasus Boat Club now aims to meet regularly throughout the year both in Cambridge and London.

Purpose

The Pegasus Boat Club aims to support RCBC by raising money towards training, equipment and racing costs, as well as offering advice on the long-term direction of the club. It also provides a name for any alumni crews to race under, should they wish too.
