The grant is part of a £1.8 million funding round for 10 small and medium enterprises to trial new technology for decarbonising freight and driving innovation in the sector, and will support GoMetro in a six-month trial. Christopher joined GoMetro in July 2024, having previously been a Senior Research Associate in the Cambridge University Engineering Department and a Fellow in Engineering at Robinson College.
We’re excited to see Dame Pippa Harris (English, 1986) feature as the producer of Armando Iannucci’s hit HBO TV series, The Franchise. The satirical comedy series follows Daniel, a first assistant director, as he navigates the challenges of working on a minor superhero film within a larger franchise. You can read more about it here.
Robinson College Library has taken in a new collection of books over the summer. The Peter Blundell Jones Collection contains 350+ donated titles on modern European architecture and came to us in 10 large boxes on a rainy morning in March. It is an outstanding resource for students and researchers alike, with many of the titles unique within Cambridge. Amongst the collection are the books that Peter wrote during his career as an Architect and Architectural Historian.
In the first episode of The Chronicles podcast, Robinson Fellow in the History of Political Thought Dr Adam Woodhouse introduces us to the man behind a name which instantly evokes skulduggery and ruthless political effectiveness: Machiavelli.
